Pre-employment

medical assessment to establish a potential employee's baseline health and to verify their physical ability to safely perform the job tasks.

Return to Work

medical assessment to determine the ability of the employee to safely return to work, in good health, to perform their usual job tasks or to recommend alternative job tasks.

Disability

medical assessment to evaluate temporary or permanent impairment resulting from an occupational or other injury or disease.

Fitness to Work

e.g. OGUK UKOOA offshore, seafarers: sector specific medical assessment according to international or local standards, guidelines or legislation.

Health Surveillance

medical testing following occupational exposure e.g. hearing test for noise exposure, specific urine or blood tests for exposure to certain chemicals, etc.
