Orthotics

Custom Knee Bracing

We use the Ossur systems of bracing including the internationally acclaimed CTi system. Braces are ready made or off-the-shelf. We also use the Oasys off loading system for Osteoarthritis.

Custom Foot Orthotics

A wide range of foot Orthotic systems are used including the carbon flex system that mimics natural foot function in the athlete. Not too rigid but firm enough to control over pronation. From heat mouldable to custom UCBL devices are also available.

Biomechanical Video Analysis

Cutting edge video and biomechanical analysis is available to determine anomalies in running styles, and to fine tune foot Orthotic fittings. Advice is also available on correct running shoes.

Sports Bracing

UPANDRUNNING brings a wealth of experience in assessing and treating a whole range of injuries with Orthotic bracing for upper and lower limbs, and the spine. Current hi-tech bracing systems are used for various injuries and where immobilization and protection is called upon.

e.g. hand and wrist supports, elbow braces, ankle and foot supports.

Scoliosis

Out team has over 20 years experience of bracing children for idiopathic scoliosis. Our experience includes the use of custom devices such as the Boston scoliosis system.

Paediatric Orthotics

Our team's background also features a strong emphasis on treating children with special needs, such as cerebral palsy and spina bifida. Custom AFO’s, DAFO’s and foot Orthotics are available.

Childrens Feet

Children’s feet may be examined and assessed for any biomechanical issues. Advice will be given about correct footwear when required.
